Lever at Work

Auckland Zoo

Auckland Zoo

It was Monday 7 of August 2017 when room 10,12,6 and some kids from room 11 went on a zoo trip.  First the bell rang we all sat on the mat with our bags. The class and I stood up and lined up near the front door waiting for Mr Ramkolowan to open it. We walked through the hallway and out the door near the toilet and onto the joueurs were room 12,11 and 6 are. Not to long the buses arrived so everyone walked loudly out the school gate and onto the bus.

After we arrived at the zoo one adult named John greeted us and told us to line up in two lines. He leaded us to the Red Panda the first animal we saw that was in the entrance of the zoo. The Red Panda’s habitat looked like a forest it had trees and a little wooden bankeny for him (or her) to lay and sit on. The Red Panda was a ginger red colour with a black snout and paws with a little bit of white on it’s legs and ears.

Later we meet John’s twin brother Frazer they told us that “The quieter you are the more animals you will see”.  We were so quiet when John and Frazer were talking to us a Peacock walked pass to say hello. John told the class and I would go with kirsty to see some Tuataras.

Next we saw some Kias. The Kias habitat was like a rainforest on a mountain. There was a waterfall in the Kias habitat and lots of trees.  Did you know that Kias are endangered (endangered means not that many left) the colours of the Kias feathers are green, yellow and a grey colour.

As we walked through the zoo we saw many animals like the Lion, Zebra, Tiger, Whoi bird (or duck), Giraffe, Ostrich, Kangaroo, Elephants, Turtle, Seal, Spider Monkey, Baboon, Meerkat and lot’s of fishes.

Now it's the end of the trip we all left the zoo and hopped onto the bus. I felt like the zoo trip was in a blink of an eye. We all go into our classes. We are now waiting for the bell to ring. The bell rang we all go home to rest.

Howick Historical Village.

Howick Historical Village is one of the most historical place I have been well other then my Nans house.  At Howick Historical Village we got to play with inside and outside toys. One of my favorite outside toys is the stilts they are made out of wood and you have to try balance on them and you also have to try walk on them while balancing on them.
