Easter Cupcake!

This morning my class and I made cupcakes.

I used fondant, marshmallows, kit kats, sprinkles and frosting.

It was so much fun to make, the theme was Easter.  

I tried to make a bunny.

Electricity Poem.

E = Electrocuted means electric shock that kills you.

L = Light bulbs need power to work.
E = Energy can be electricity.
C = Circuit’s can be planed by using diagrams.
T = Transformers hold electricity.
R = Regular appliances are heaters and microwaves.  
I = I know that you need to pay your bills to get electricity.
C = Car batteries are powerful enough to shock you.
I = I know you need electricity to go on the internet.
T = Transmission lines hold electricity.
Y = You should be careful around electricity.

Package From Merryvale School

Package From Merryvale School.

Today we got a package all the way from Merryvale School.

I was so excited to open the package. We found a poster that had a photo

of the class that gave us the package.

On the poster there were words they liked the sound of, how many kids

can lick their elbows,cross their eyes and wiggle their ears and many other things on it.

Maths Reflection

Walht: solve division problems.

This week I learnt to solve division problems. On Monday I found this
tricky at first but I got the
hang of it. We did this the whole week. By Thursday/Friday I  could
understand this better thanks
to the help of my friend Chelsie. This was confusing at first because
I thought this was a harder
way to do division but through the days I understood it more and more.
I learnt that this was an easier
(strategy) way to do division. Next I would like to learn more about percentages.
I want to do well at maths and would like to get a 4p/4b at the end of the year.

How Electricity Travels

How Electricity Travels.

In my class we have been learning about electricity and how

it travels to our meter box. It starts in the power plant then

the electricity travels to the power lines and power towers 

(that's not the right word for the towers I just like calling them that).

Next the electricity travels underground through wires to transformers.

Later the electricity travels through your/our neighbourhood 

giving them power and electricity then it finally goes to your/our house.

I Say Let It Glow!

In my class we are learning about electricity 

and how it works. My friend and I made

a diagram and it looked like this.

We used circuit symbols to make our diagram.

To make our mini light bulb circuit my friend

and I used a mini circuit set.

After my friend and I made the circuit we put

two batters in the battery holder. Then we switched the 

switch on. finally the bulb was glowing.

I found this art fun

because I got to stamp paint on the

paper with cotton buds.

But my favorite part was dying the paper

I found it satisfying.
